HOW I VIEW MY WORLD

HOW IT STARTED

Something inside of me worked when I put pencil to paper or brush to canvas. I had no training just a spirit that moved me. i figured it out as I went along and looked at the world and listened and created what I saw. This may make no sense to some and perfect sense to those who know...

MY MEDIUMS

I  work in several mediums. I have a feel for what I want to create and use oils, acrylics or watercolor medium to work it out.  I'll paint on paper, canvas panels, or stretched canvas.  Sometimes a small pen and ink will satisfy my need to create.

WHAT INSPIRES ME

It's nature; being out in it; feeling it around me; smelling the wind; hearing the wildlife, all of these and more that inspires me. I try not to limit my inspirations so I can see a painting while walking down the street of a tiny mining town in New Mexico, or passing docked boats in a harbor. I'm open to the world around me and take it in. Capturing the emotions of what I'm feeling when I look at something  pushes me to create. Knowing that others enjoy what I create is a bonus.
